Pacemaker For All Occasions
Thursday, May 24, 2007
From ghetto-blaster, to Walkman, to iPod, we have seen a significant shift in technology that affords us the luxury of doing just about anything we want.
Enter Pacemaker, a new DJ-influenced concept from The Tonium Team. With a debut planned in June for Sonar, then a release to the world in October, Pacemaker is all about making DJing versatile, portable and "shareable".
We'll let some of their PR do the talking.
"You already know about the 120 GB, the SNR 103, the bend, pitch, cue, loop, EQ and sound-FX functionality, the separate line-out and headphones crossfaders, the separate line-out and headphones jacks and the two independent channels controlled via the same one interface - all elegantly wrapped in a peanut butter jelly sandwich (only prettier)!
In October the first Pacemakers will hit the stores. In June, we'll be at the Sonar Festival where the first devices will be available to play around with. But there's more! We're really excited about the developments within our beta community prototype. Also, our absolutely free downloadable Mac and PC compatible computer client, enabling advanced and user friendly offline mixing, is getting ready for beta release, and we'll shortly be able to make public our last remaining sock-dropping secret, and next is when the real fun begins!"
Yeah...we're kinda hanging to see what the big secret is. We'll be keeping our F5 button depressed.
Anyhoo, for all you geeks out there, check out the specs:
