Radiohead Launches Social Networking Site

Radiohead has launched a social-networking site for fans and like-minded people who enjoy long walks on the beach, a beer at the pub and so forth.

Hot on the heels of the digital release of their album, a video contest and a remix competition, the band has decided to capitalise on the digital platform with a new place for people to share their everything with other band fans.

Under the 'W.A.S.T.E' brand, the group responsible for such gems as OK Computer and Kid A states on the site that, for those intending to hang around a bit, "we'll be adding plenty more bits and pieces in the coming weeks and ironing out any wrinkles or annoyances the best we can.

"Hope you find something interesting to play with."

Other artists such as Nick Cave will also feature on the site destined to make even more money for the group.

The site is still in its early stages, but it shouldn't be too long before other groups (NIN!) jump on the wagon and offer the same experience (or, at the very least, publicists will do their bidding).
