The team behind Smirnoff vodka is giving aspiring DJs their chance at fifteen minutes of fame, when the Smirnoff Experienceâ„¢ Microfestival pops up at Sydney's Cargo Bar on Saturday 12 April 2008.

Tapping into the latest craze from NYC, the microfestival will see a unique inflatable stage, lighting rig, the latest Numark iDJ2 IPod mixer and sound system, all set up within Cargo's outdoor courtyard overlooking the harbour on the King St Wharf.

Partygoers can come down and play a set from their own iPods, alongside guest DJs FunkTrust and Cargo's own resident Adam Bozetto.

To be part of the billing at the Smirnoff Experienceâ„¢ Microfestival, all you have to do is send in the top five tracks you'd drop at Cargo Bar along with your name and contact details to smirnoffmicro@splendidcomms.com by 5pm on Friday 28 March 2008.

Those who make the grade will then be invited to play a fifteen minute set for the crowds at Cargo Bar. The DJ that plays the most original set on the night will also be rewarded with a VIP prize package to the Smirnoff Experience 2008, for themselves plus two mates.

The Smirnoff Experience Microfestival is part of The Smirnoff Experience, a global initiative that delivers original music acts. The Smirnoff Experience showcases the finest original entertainment, with collaborations, unique performances and cutting edge talent across a range of musical genres.

Drink Intelligently.
