Music Profiles on Facebook

Facebook has launched a new section that allows artists to create profiles to showcase videos, music and more.

The popular social-networking site now gives artists the chance to upload streaming songs for fans, while also providing discographies, merchandise and even tickets. Music streaming will be available via Facebook's music player.

Fans now have the ability to rate content, as well as receive emails from the band or artist. The free service will launch with more than 80 partners on board, including Coldplay, Justin Timberlake and more. Tags
