First Australia Festival Awards Winners Announced
The inaugural Australian Festival Awards were held last week, and there were a lot of deserving winners, as voted for by 18,000 FasterLouder users. (Un)surprisingly the boutique festivals were the big winners, with punters favouring the personal touch and forward-thinking line-ups. Perhaps these awards will be good feedback for future events- Here’s hoping. So, the winners for the inaugural Festival Awards are: Golden Plains (Best Overall Favourite Festival, Best Management and Facilities), Harbourlife (Best Venue and Location), Playground Weekender (Best Crowd and Atmosphere), Womadelaide (Best Sound and Production), Falls Festival (Best Line-up), Rainbow Serpent (Best Value for Money), Woodford Folk Festival (Best Green-Friendly Festival). The Presets also picked up Best Local Act while Rage Against the Machine won Best International Act. Anthony Tran’s photo from V Festival picked up Best Festival Photo. Well done everyone, and bring on the festival season!
