Urban Music Awards rap up

The 2007 rhino Urban Music Awards took place at Luna Park last week with Australia’s urban community out in full force. Winners on the night included Jade McCrae who picked up the Best Female Award, Hilltop Hoods picking up two gongs for Best Hip Hop Album and Best Hip Hop Group and Justice and Kaos picking up Best New Talent. Special guest on the night was Mirrah, runner up on TLC’s post-Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes reality program R U The Girl With T-Boz and Chilli. Performers included Samantha Jade and Doug Williams, who also won the Urban Hero Award on the night.
