The Australian Music Prize judges were obviously a little overwhelmed by the quality of entries this year, as they’ve expanded the top eight shortlist to a top nine. Up for the prize (worth over $50,000) are Augie March, Gotye, Jackie Marshall, Sarah Blasko, last year’s winners The Drones, Bob Evans, Howling Bells, Lisa Gerrard and The Grates.
