In one of the most anticipated announcements of the year, the Virgin Group and Michael Coppel announce two amazing nights of live music featuring the cream of the V Festival line-up, presented by Virgin Mobile.

The most exciting festival event to hit Australia in years is now bringing the very best of its stellar line-up to Melbourne.

Maintaining the festival's ethos of great music in a great setting, V Festival Australia has hand picked some of the hottest acts from it's 2007 line-up to play the Sidney Myer Music Bowl in a huge showcase of V Festival talent.

Electro kings PET SHOP BOYS will be joined by club favourites GROOVE ARMADA, the much anticipated GNARLS BARKLEY and fellow first timers THE RAPTURE in one of the most anticipated collection of artists to hit one stage in Australia. Each group will take the outdoor stages to perform a full live set.

Forget the rumours - the PIXIES ARE COMING! Some thought it would never happen, but one of the most critically acclaimed bands of our time, the PIXIES will indeed be gracing our southern cities with their presence, supported by the infamous JARVIS COCKER and French pop romantics PHOENIX.

Just for the record, in its first year, V Festival presents not 1, not 2, but 5 first timers to tour Australia, highlighting our commitment to bringing not only the best, but the most sought after bands to Australia.

Once again, our headline sponsor Virgin Mobile is committed to help ensure that the quality of all things V Festival Australia are second to none, lending their support to THE BEST OF V FESTIVAL dates and ensuring punters are kept up to speed with updates and developments.

As with the V Festival dates interstate, V Festival Australia maintains its commitment to charitable causes and will again commit $1 from the purchase of every ticket to be donated to Virgin Unite, the charitable arm of the Virgin Group.
