It's been seven long years since Strictly Rhythm closed its doors having maintained a faultless reputation as the worlds most respected house music label. Testament to this is the integral part the label has played in establishing the careers of some of Dance music's biggest icons.

Now it's back with a vengeance thanks to our friends at Defected, as of Jan 29th.

Undoubtedly the standout feature of the label relaunch by Defected will be that for the first time ever 20 of the biggest Strictly Rhythm releases will be made available as digital downloads. These are available exclusively for 7 days from www.defected.com before being made available elsewhere. Each track is 99p and will be delivered as DJ quality, 320kbps downloads that will drop crisply wherever you play them.

If you are old enough to remember the infectious techno alarm of Josh Wink's Higher State of Consciousness, or the soulful melody of South St Player's Who Keeps Changing Your Mind, you're sure to rediscover some awesome gems on this special label.

After the initial 20 releases, they'll be releasing a further 10 per week for 12 weeks, so any track that you have specially ear marked can be part of your collection.

See below for a list of the first releases all available from the 29th Jan, 2007
