Creative Vibes is one label that can boast about the quality they've had going through their jukebox for a long, long time.

It's not wonder then, that they've decided to get on the distributor wagon for Nestegg, the new album by the Melbourne-based Spoonbill, who's really known as Jim Moynihan.

With his debut album Megafuana being hailed a globally successful release, the electronic whiz gets out his equipment for the sophomore record, which has been stated as "sonic entertainment and smoothly-beaten groove...a heavily edited fusion of live recorded instrumentation and fabricated electronica".

The album also comprises crafted recordings from other Aussies such as Eden Altman, Bryson Mulholland and James Maguire, with their live performances on the guitar, Rhodes piano and double-bass captured, cut, twisted and reformed, giving the Spoonbill sound its musically-iconic collage.

Spoonbill's recent overseas jaunts have had crowds rocking not only Australia, but also the US at massive festivals such as Burningman in Nevada, Symbiosis in San Fran and, locally, Earthcore and Rainbow Serpent. His skills have seen him placed amongst some of the world's best, including Amon Tobin and Tipper. His stage presence crafts an elegant and quirky symphony of honey-scented grooves, jovial humour and joyous beat trickery, melding an ever-evolving array of styles into a distinctive Aussie blend.

Drawing on such a colourful and dynamic history, Spoonbill is set to make 2007 a shell-shattering year as his migratory path leads him around Australia and north, to Europe, North America and Canada.
