Satoshi Tomiie - Renaissance Master

It's been a while between mixed drinks for Satoshi Tomiie. The man behind legendary Saw Recordings, while also being responsible for some of the more upfront compilations available on the CD racks of your favourite retail store, has been given the duty of compiling the new Renaissance Masters.

After a well-received debut for the Renaissance brand with the inaugural 3D compilation, Satoshi's new album follows on from DJs that include Sandy Rivera, Dave Seaman, Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells, Nick Warren and Deep Dish.

Satoshi delivers a contemporary, two-disc ride with an upfront tracklisting that draws on some of the hottest production talent from around the globe, fusing records from King Britt, DJ Yellow and D'Julz alongside exciting, new-found contemporary stars such as Shlomi, Aber, Radioslave, Guy Gerber and Jim Rivers. To show he's still one of the busiest men in dance, he crops up under his Opus Ink guise, a co-production with the fast-rising Audiofly.

"I really wanted to create an accurate portrayal of my club sets," explains Tomiie. "I felt it important that the segue throughout each disc worked, almost as if they were two seventy-minute songs in their own right."

Coinciding with the release of the new album is a quick Australian tour due in April. Your local date should be locked in now.
