Sasha's private performance tonight at Urbis in Manchester, UK, celebrating Hacienda's anniversary, will be streamed live in the virtual world of Second Life. The event will start streaming at 7pm (UK time) TONIGHT.

While the whole concept is rather weird, the physical element (i.e. the Urbis and the like) is what it's really all about.

Punters visiting the Manchester exhibition will be able to step back 25 years in time to the halcyon days of the 'Madchester' music era and revisit the Hacienda, the legendary nightclub that became an international phenomenon and changed the face of the city forever.

The exhibition allows people to walk through the world famous Fac 51 doors to uncover some of the ideals and ideas behind its conception, as told by many of the creative minds that made it what it became.

Relive the experiences of Peter Saville, Peter Hook, Tony Wilson, Ben Kelly and Rob Gretton through their own stories and items from personal collections, including previously unseen video footage, items from the club itself and the graphic design that was instrumental in shaping the club's identity.

The exhibition also includes the first ever showing of the complete collection of the Hacienda's iconic birthday posters, incorporates original scratch videos by Claude Bessy and Swivel, and of course, will pay tribute to the music played and performed there.

Hacienda themed events are organised throughout the exhibition, from talks and debates to film and gig screenings.

Located at the heart of Manchester, Urbis is an exhibition centre focusing on city life. Urbis' exhibition programme explores the culture and dynamism of cities around the world, covering photography, design, architecture, music, contemporary art and much more.
