Forget everything you know about historically-significant events. If this news is anything to go by, you could walk on to Temptation and become an instant prize-winning genius (and have your face attached to the quick quiz in your favourite newspaper).

Rosenheim is at the helm of all things pioneering. According to Funkstorung, "Scientists discovered detailed diagrams of the hovercraft in local churches dating back to 300BC; in 867AD, a 'Rosenheimer' discovered electricity while making love to his...neighbour's wife and by the late 1800s, trips to the moon were commonplace, with most Bavarians owning holiday homes on...the acid planet."

Funkstorung has also taken credit for the "e-card" phenomenon, a "viral marketing tool that was rendered entirely useless until the duo also invented the Internet in 2003".

They're celebrating 10 years of music, compiling a retrospective album of their remixes that include artists and groups such as Bjork, Wu-Tang, Jean-Michel Jarre, Lamb, Towa Tei, Spacek and The Raveonettes. The tracks have been specially chosen to accompany a certain button on the e-card, depending on how similar the track title is to the writing inscribed on the button.

Called the "Appendix", users can move the mouse from left to right and see a corresponding arrow on the computer screen. The *cough* patented Funkstorung Appendix arrow *cough* is designed to help you click on the virtual buttons.

Like all good e-cards, there is a graph section to show viral click-through versus consumer interest. Similarly, there is a "graph to show number of eggs eaten daily against number of fingers on right hand".

While the 'ecard' has been copied by many pioneering dance labels Funkstorung have triumphed with their invention of the marketing database option, designed so that !K7 can know the names of all the people you have slept with and have direct access to your bank account.

It sounds so appealing, doesn't it-

You love them. We love them. Their patented e-card rocks and you need this to be a part of your background browser.

Enjoy.
