Hip Hop pioneer Chuck D announced details of the release of a new series of dance remixes of classic Public Enemy tracks this week and revealed he's hugely excited about Dutch trance star Ferry Corsten's remake of 'Bring The Noise'.

"'Bring The Noise' is a perfect track to experiment with; its pace, energy and lyrics make for an interesting mix of potential ideas," said Chuck.

"Ferry Corsten makes the ultimate concoction of all these elements like a mad scientist," he declared.

The infamously outspoken was equally excited about Benny Benassi's effort ("Benny certainly can bring the noise") and labelled both DJs 'sonic wizards of today'.

"This is an appropriate and exciting project," Chuck D added, "Since Public Enemy evolved from the same elements of DJ diversity that helped formulate dance and electronica in the first place."

Chuck D previously collaborated with Moby on the wonderfully titled 'Make Love, Fuck War' (Chuck gushing at the time, 'knowing his great work and concerns of the planet made this project one of like mindedness and world spirit') though remains best known for his uncompromising approach to social issues.

Memorably branding governments 'the cancer of civilization', he's also regularly attacked mainstream rap ('a sad reality') and warned 'beware of marketed Malcolms and Martins', a point he recognised posed a contradiction.

"There are too many leaders anointed because they have a public voice - television, radio, or record, or whatever. That even includes myself.

"In the past, I'd say, 'Don't anoint me when you can anoint yourself.'"
