Om's Worldwide Mixtape Competition

The majority of us remember being a part of the mixtape phenomenon - it was a must for the Friday night mix sessions on radio. Making your own was even cooler.

While the days of cassettes have almost become a non-event, Om Hip Hop and imeem have teamed up to give one deserving DJ a chance to play in Miami for the OM Records' WMC event on 22 March this year.

This is your chance to throw down your vision - all you have to do is create a 30-minute mix using music provided by Om Hip Hop and submit your mix for a chance to head to Miami - get on it!

The winner will take all the glory and will be bathed with the following goodies:

- A one-hour set at OM records' WMC event (3/22/07)
- One airline ticket to and from Miami
- One night hotel stay in Miami
- Om: Hip Hop catalogue (including all CDs and vinyl)
- 1,000 CDs of the winning mix will be distributed at the conference

If you're old skool and over 21, you can get your mixtape on. The contest started a couple of days ago and is scheduled to run until midday, 12 March 2007.

The winner is chosen using a combination of the following criteria: quality, ratings, comments, number of plays and embeds. Remember to tell your friends to check out all the submissions and get involved!
