New laws to see clubs cut back on-everything

The Copyright Tribunal has decided that the music license fee payable to the PPCA [Phonographic Performance Company of Australia] be increased by a staggering 1500 per cent. Yes, fifteen hundred per cent. This will affect nightclubs, forcing them to cut back on staff (including musical acts, DJs, promotional workers, bar staff, door staff, cleaners) not to mention advertising costs. Cover charge is also likely to increase in order for nightclubs to make a considerable profit. You'd better start taking those crochet lessons-
