Michael Fakesch is one half of the now defunct Funkstorung, Germany's premier electronic scientists. Michael has been producing music for over a decade and has developed a dedicated and loyal fanbase, he now releases his long awaited record 'DOS'

You may not know his name but you certainly know his music. Michael Fakesch has been producing music for over a decade as one half of Funkstörung, the German electronic duo who are classed with the likes of Autechre and Aphex Twin as one of the most influential IDM outfits ever.

As part of Funkstörung, Fakesch released five highly acclaimed albums, and did countless remixes for artists such as BJÖRK, Booka Shade, Modeselektor, Mouse On Mars, Bomb The Bass and the Wu-Tang Clan. Since the group's disbandment in 2006, Fakesch has been involved in numerous other ambitious projects such as sound designs for TV, and film scores - yet nothing quite as refreshing as this, his enigmatically titled sophomore album, 'Dos'.

'Dos' sees Fakesch nod towards his work in Funkstörung via unmistakeable clicks and whirrs, while simultaneously pushing his sound in exciting new directions. Incorporating his electronic roots in much lighter and more humorous ways than ever before, Fakesch has produced a catchy and colorful masterwork, which has garnered comparisons to the soulful tunes of Ray Charles, the flamboyant pop of Prince, and the glitchy funk of Jamie Lidell.

Already, those in the know are raving about 'Dos'...
