Maximo Park Bring Earthly Pleasures To Oz

English quintet Maximo Park has followed an alluring debut with the altogether more accomplished Our Earthly Pleasures, out now on Warp/Inertia. Produced by Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Pixies), album number two is, as the band says, “not an out and out rock record” - but it is heavier and more immediate. Maximo Park returns to Australia this August after a much-lauded tour in 2005. Share in their earthly pleasures at the Metro Theatre on Wednesday 15 August and the Prince Of Wales, Melbourne, on Friday 17.
