Luke Fair Gets Balanced

EQ Recordings continues its tradition of releasing premium quality electronic music with its next edition of the Balance series.

Canadian DJ/Producer Luke Fair has worked his magic on 'Balance 011' and it's been well worth the wait. Fair has carved quite a reputation for himself as a producer and passionately experimental DJ, making him the perfect choice to follow previous luminaries such as James Holden, Chris Fortier, Phil K, Paolo Mojo, Desyn Masiello, Anthony Pappa and Jimmy Van M.

Fair's music can be described as groovy, funky and housey, all at the same time! He has created a signature style for himself by re-editing versions of songs for his own sets. In the studio, his genre-crossing productions run the gamut from dub house to melodic progressive.

"The mood of my Balance mix captures the sound of an entire night at a club, a full set from open to close. Starting out with deep house, then playing funky house and techno and continuing with melodic progressive towards the end. Every track has been heavily edited to personalise the mix...with lots of layering to make the whole thing as colourful as possible," says Luke.

The Balance series has firmly established itself as one of the top choices for discerning music lovers with a penchant for cutting-edge music from the world's most underrated artists. Balance 011 will only serve to prove this once again, as Luke Fair grabs your ears with his diverse music and takes the listener on a funky, tripped-out journey with tracks and remixes from Charles Webster, Humate, Timewriter, Francois K, Ian Pooley, Tom Middleton, David Holmes, Joey Negro and more…

The Balance 011 world tour will launch during Miami WMC 2007. Luke Fair will bring his funky, chunky vibe to various cities on 4 continents throughout the year, tearing the roof off notable clubbing hot spots such as Pacha (Buenos Aires), Bedrock (London), Red Light (Paris), Space (Miami), Zouk (Singapore) and Womb (Tokyo), and many others.

In 2006, Luke debuted in Australia with a five-city tour across the continent and continues to play massive festivals like Creamfields and Godskitchen's Global Gathering in the UK.
