Klaxons win Mercury

Joining the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Antony and the Johnsons, PJ Harvey and Dizzee Rascal, 2007’s most talked about British act, Klaxons, have taken out the Nationwide Mercury Prize, which is awarded to the best album of the year, judged on artistic merit instead of album sales. Other nominees included Amy Winehouse, The View, Fionn Regan, NYPC and Dizzee Rascal again.
