Hip Hop icon Kanye West has revealed that his new album will feature a guest appearance from Coldplay's Chris Martin.

The track, titled Homecoming, will be the first single on West's third album, 'Graduation', the follow-up to the critically acclaimed 'Late Registration'. Continuing the scholarly theme, 'Graduation' is tentatively due for release towards the end of 2007, reports Billboard.

Apart from some notable remixes of Coldplay tracks, many would consider Martin an unlikely participant in dance music/hip hop. Yet, he previously appeared on "Beach Chair," a track on Kingdom Come, Jay-Z's return to the hip-hop world in which he contributed the guitar element.

Comparatively, it's not the first time Kanye has teamed up with someone from the guitar world. West appears on a remix of Fall Out Boy's latest track 'This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race.'

'Graduation' is being produced by Jon Brion who was at the helm for 'Late Registration.' "We'll be working together again on the new project," West promises. "Jon wasn't just a producer -- he was such a good friend and a great person to bounce ideas off of in the studio. It was the whole experience."

The story goes that West was at the famed Abbey Road studio working on the theme song for Mission: Impossible 3, and happened to still be around after Chris Martin finished recording a BBC Radio 2 special in a nearby room. Kanye and Martin spontaneously decided to record a track together.

West has also been busy behind the boards, having recently produced tracks for Nas' "Hip-Hop Is Dead" and the Game's "Doctor's Advocate."

He will also soon be featured in an HBO series "loosely based" on his life. "Curb Your Enthusiasm" mastermind Larry Charles will executive produce and Rick Rubin is also involved.

In other Kanye West news, he picked up three Grammy awards last week (including Best Rap Album) and won the International Male Solo Artist prize at the Brit Awards.

Meanwhile, Brian Eno revealed in an interview on BBC Radio 4's "Front Row." that he had accepted an offer from Coldplay to produce its fourth album.
