While it's not quite in the same hysteria as Blur and Oasis releasing a record on the same day, reports filtering out of the New York are hyping up the supposed release date clash facing rappers Kanye West and 50 Cent.

According to mtv.com, West is adamant he won't be changing. "The date, Graduation, September 11, we ain't moving," West stated, suggesting that he will be 'embracing the friendly competition with the man he recently produced a track for'.

West further added that he'd 'rather come out on a day like that, up against 50 and be number two on that day rather than come out and be number one on a day nobody cares about'.

"It's about things going down in history. It's [sic] not that much exciting in hip-hop right now. I think people are going to make it more than what I'm making it..."

No word has filtered out of the 50 Cent camp just yet, but we're pretty sure the G-Unit honcho won't budge, either. It could end in a hail of bullets, but we're putting all our money on both albums doing crazy numbers thanks to the promotional hype.
