Kanye West Blazing 50 Cent in Record Sales

Kanye West looks set to force 50 Cent into early retirement, with news filtering out of the US that new album Graduation received stronger sales on opening day.

According to Billboard, SoundScan Building Chart has seen first-day sales of close to 450,000 for West's new album, with a massive gap of more than 100,000 to 50 Cent's record, Curtis, which has sold just over 300,000 units.

According to forecasts, West's record is expected to pass 750,000. His previous album, Late Registration, was the last album to start with the same prediction.
