Ice Cube down under

With a career somehow including both kids’ movies and incendiary “fuck you”s to authority, Ice Cube has covered a lot of ground. After his cop-baiting days in NWA, the MC released a definitive solo album, AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted, in 1990, and is yet to slow down. He’s also evidence that some rappers can act, impressing in films like Three Kings, Boyz In The Hood, Higher Learning and, err, xXx: State Of The Union. With another LP on the way, the West Coast original is bringing his Straight Outta Compton tour to Australia, stopping at Enmore Theatre on Monday 27 August and The Forum, Melbourne, on Monday 3 September.
