Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has announced Fresh FM will receive a license renewal for their youth station.

With the broadcast permit due to expire at midnight on the 30th of September, ACMA's timely decision reinforces the need to have a durable station, which has continued to grow within a saturated marketplace.

Station Manager Mal Chia said believes that it's 'a fantastic milestone not only for Fresh, but [also] for the youth of Adelaide...they will continue to have a viable alternative to commercial broadcast media'.

'These results show that Fresh and like minded-organisations can lead the way for the simple fact that we are here for the community and nothing else.'

Fresh will be celebrating with a fundraising event this Sunday 30 September at HQ Complex on North Terrace, featuring performances from Fresh FM DJ's and live acts.

Since its launch, Fresh has been committed to developing and supporting Adelaide's youth by engaging them with an eclectic mix of original, local and specialist content.
