Figgkid's feel-good story

Late last year, Figgkid’s manager Lui sought James Brown classic I Feel Good (I Got You) to use as the basis of Figgkid’s upcoming single, Feel Good. After much jumping through hoops, the track was issued, on a proviso that the original James Brown vocals be used. The Godfather of Soul himself was due to sign off the masters on Thursday 28 December, three days after he died. A sad twist of fate, then, that may have laid nine months of work to rest. However, Brown’s senior manager put his pen to the dotted line on Boxing Day, finally clearing the song for Figgkid. The result, Feel Good, is in stores 26 March through Unda K9 and MGM.
