Don't take a flag to Big Day Out

Despite reports to the contrary, the Big Day Out organisers are notbanning Australian flags at this Thursday's event, but simplyrequesting that punters do not bring them, as last year saw "an increased incidence offlags brandished inconsiderately and this has led to increased tension." Considering that this year's event is not on Australia Day (and also considering the undertones of menace that went with flag wielding last year, which anyone who actually attended the festival would have experienced), it seems a perfectly reasonable request.
