Dj Vadim Releases 'Sound Catcher'

Reading the PR of someone can usually be fraught with a multitude of cliches that don't necessarily talk about what the artist has actually done.

However, when you finally get through the first paragraph (closer to 'dream resume') of DJ Vadim, it's understandable that you'll be as excited as we are when we got to the part about the man releasing his first full-length album since 2005's The Sound Catcher.

A debut for seminal BBE Records, Vadim opts to remove the norm from his method and head to a place everything but formal.

'The Sound Catcher' enlists a diverse line up of heavy hitters for the vast plateau of sonics. Everyone from soul singers to rappers are present on this offering (Skinnyman, Abstract Rude, Kathrin De Boer), creating everything from straight shots of soul, to dense dubby instrumentals, to dark groove and reggae creating an amalgamation that is a bold hybrid of 21st century hip-hop.

DJ Vadim's 'The Sound Catcher' is everything you've come to expect from the DJ/producer/musical incendiary: unpredictable, varied and ambitious.

'Sound Catcher' is out nationally April 7th on BBE through Inertia.
