Cutting Edge Freestyle at Fed Square

Hip Hop headz rarely have the chance to show off of in front of all the Melbourne massive, but if breakin's your thang, nows your chance to strut!  Freestyle @ Fed Square is an all ages, FREE event celebrating Melbourne’s Hip Hop culture from the ground up! On Saturday 3 February 2007 the finest emerging Hip Hop artists and crews from across Melbourne and Australia will compete once again for awesome prizes on the main stage at Fed Square and in the BMW Edge Amphitheatre.

You've got until the 25 January, 2007 to register in the battles to have yourself crowned by your peers. Registration forms are available by contacting Cat on 1800 010 069 or,  catherine.s@culturalinfusion.com, and comp categories include: Breakin, Hip Hop dance, Freestyle MCing, Beatboxing, and Production.  Even if you're just starting out, this is the perfect opportunity to step up and be seen!

The day commences at 2:00pm with DJ Workshops and Bgirl workshops presented by Freestyle Four Entertainment, followed by the battles, comps and performances which will continue throughout the evening, finishing at 10:00pm.

Representing Melbourne’s Hip Hop Community for 2007 include: Host’s Lamaroc, and Mantra, DJ’s Wasabi and Jezroc, plus an array of top judges including: Elf Tranzporter, Mad Masta C, Archival, Robot Girl, Liz (Rewind), and more tba.

Last year's event drew a crowd of 3000 people and 100 competitors, so don't forget to register, or go down for a day of watching the country's finest in action.
