Non-profit organisation Broken Wings Entertainment was established in 2006 with the intention to raise funds for selected charities through nightclub events. Its next project is Spare Change, an all-star party at Space on Friday 18 May. The charity benefiting this time is Chris Riley’s Youth Off The Streets (youthoffthestreets.com.au) – a worthy candidate indeed. Eight promotional crews are collaborating on Spare Change, and the line-up includes DJs Eko, Normz, Leon Smith, Peter Gunz, Sefu, Stanley Hoesty [Melbourne], Fly Girl Tee, ILL DJ, Dumbo, Stiffles, Cage and MCs D and Klasik 1 in the hip hop and R&B room, as well as Elroy, Tom Piper, Kid Loki, Che Jose, The Royal Crew, Korz and DJ Jon Bling [Melbourne] in the house area. There’s heaps more going on too, so check myspace.com/brokenwingsent for further details and get along for a good cause.
