Augie March top Hottest 100

Boy, are we glad we didn’t stop by the TAB on Australia Day to put money on our triple j Hottest 100 predictions; here at 3D we never would have guessed that Augie March would have taken out the top spot. Then again, we probably could have predicted the strong showing by Australian bands (an all Australian top three, four in the Top Ten and about 40 overall!), considering the high calibre of Australian music last year. It was also a pleasure to see Gotye and Gnarls Barkley in the top ten, let’s just hope that a good selection of artists make it onto the CD compilation.
