$12 million Worth of Ecstasy Seized by Police

Almost $12 million worth of MDMA substances have been seized by police, with a father and son apprehended in one of Australia's biggest drug busts.

Police in WA have since charged a 54-year-old man and his 24-year-old son after their arrest on Saturday, after it was alleged authorities discovered enough MDMA powder - almost 20kg - inside a container to produce approximately 240,000 tablets.

It's estimated the tablets would hit a street value of around $12m.

"This seizure will have a significant reduction in the availability of MDMA tablets in the community of Western Australia," a police spokesperson stated. Tags
