V Festival first line-up announcement

Rumours have been put to bed about one of the most anticipated events of 2007, the inaugural Australian V Festival, with first round announcements made public last Monday. Indie legends The Pixies head a weighty line-up that also includes UK veterans The Pet Shop Boys, Groove Armada, Soulwax, The Rapture and, in a major coup, Gnarls Barkley and Phoenix. A supporting line-up of local and international talent also includes 2manydjs, Softlightes, Bumblebeez, The Mercy Arms and The Temper Trap.
