Poker Flat Recordings proudly announces the album release of Trentemøller, one of the most successful electronic producers of the moment. The Danish producer Anders Trentemøller broke through in 2004/2005 with 12" releases on labels like Audiomatique ("Physical Fraction"), Out Of Orbit, 3rd Floor and Tic Tac Toe before he signed to Poker Flat for three massively successful singles ("Polar Shift", "Sunstroke" and most recently the "Nam Nam EP").

Celebrated by DJ's, media and listeners everywhere, it has been the special "Trentemøller twist" to his productions and remixes which has gained him a huge reputation on an international scale. He has crafted tracks for artists like Röyksopp, The Knife , Moby & Pet Shop Boys , making him one of the most in demand remixers of the moment. Trentemøller loves to create antipodes in his music and so the contrast between large and vast echo chambers and sharp, direct in-your-face sound bites are characteristic of his sound. Coupled with outstanding production skills, he creates fascinating song structures.

Countless end of the year polls established him as best producer, best remixer and best newcomer of the year 2005. Since late 2005 Trentemøller has had a heavy tour schedule with his raving liveset and will continue his world tour until the end of the year.

Now Pokerflat are proud to announce Trentemøller's debut album "The Last Resort" to be released in October 2006 - maybe one of the most anticipated independent albums of the year! While his single hits are dancefloor bombs, the album reveals an as yet undiscovered and fascinating side to the young Dane. Trentemøller presents a beautiful, rather downtempo work of art on 13 tracks which will be published in the mix on CD to allow uninterrupted listening pleasure. The Last Resort is a beautifully crafted, astonishing masterpiece, that will leave you breathless. The 13 instrumental tracks together form a wordless musical story, almost like the soundtrack of a movie. It manages to capture a whole range of emotions in subtle melodic miniatures, dreamy ambiences, dusty beats, deep dub-tracks and driving grooveexcursions. An ever-changing kaleidoscope of colours and moods, The Last Resort without a doubt contains Trentemøller's best work to date.Although it's an electronic album, it also incorporates live-drums, guitars, bass and other acoustic instruments like celesta, glockenspiel, melodica and even DJ scratching to create a more organic feel. 'Something I couldn't manage with just electronica', according to the producer.

Guests on the album include young & talented Danish vocalist Ane Trolle as well as Richard Davis, whose voice already graced Swayzak's "Speak Easy" on K7 and who released albums on Punkt and Kitty-Yo.While Trentemøller plays instruments like guitars, bass, celesta, glockenspiel, melodica and musicbox, alongside various guest musicians .

As a forerunner to the album Poker Flat will release the 12" single "Always Something Better" in September. It will include the original vocal version featuring Richard Davis and remixes by Matthew Herbert and Trentemøller.

Look out for "The Last Resort" released on 9th October on Pokerflat Records through Stomp.
