2005 saw the launch of Tokyo Project. The label marked a new beginning for Mark Doyle and graphic designer Jason Brooks, as they left Hed Kandi and embarked on a new adventure. This year sees the launch of Fierce Angels, a new record label and event company and 'Tokyo Disco' is the first compilation from Fierce Angel Records.
Tokyo Disco parties have been taking place since Christmas 2005 in the UK, and have so far played to over 100,000 happy clubbers. 'Tokyo Disco' the Compilation is a new CD featuring the fiercest club anthems from those dancefloors. Each track is unmixed and presented in its full 12" version - in many cases it is the first time any of these tracks have featured on a CD.
CD1 keeps itself firmly on a disco tip with exclusive tracks by Discrete, Nick C, Club 4 Life feat Lorraine Brown, Simmonds & Christopher and Grooveland. Established club anthems are supplied courtesy of Martin Solveig, Silsonic, Tokyo Feat Siobahn, Housesonic Feat Juliet Lewis and Fac15.
CD2 takes the dancefloor and whips it up into a late night frenzy with yet more exclusives from Hott 22 Feat Bonnie Bailey, Mind Electric and Inaya Day. The early '90s get a thorough remix with new versions of Tall Paul and Strike while Micheal Grey and Full Intention present their latest scorching anthems. The album is completed by the soon-to-be smash Love Sensation by Eddie Thoneick & Kurd Maverick
