The Bamboos find their niche

Deep funk purveyors The Bamboos have recently completed a debut album Step It Up, and on Sunday 11 June they’ll launch it at The Basement. With guest appearances from Alice Russell, the LP brings the kind of drum-break driven grooves that bristle onstage. The show, orchestrated by Niche, precedes the band’s UK/European tour, so catch them while you can. Support across two rooms comes from DJs Simon Caldwell, Nick Toth, Trevor Parkee, Somatik, Jimmea and Frenzie.
