Few bands inspire the same slack-jawed devotional praise for their live shows as The Mars Volta. If you missed out on seeing them when they were last out for Big Day Out, and you’ve grown tired of friends, acquaintances and random strangers stopping you in the street to tell you how amazing the show was, then you’d best catch them when they come back down under in November in support of new album Amputechture. You can catch the eight-piece in Sydney at the Hordern Pavilion on Tuesday 28 November, with tickets on sale at Ticketek and Utopia Records from Thursday 21 September.
