Splendour announces extra-musical attractions

Sold-out winter festival Splendour In The Grass isn’t all about the music. It’s an environmentally conscious gathering too. To help keep the site pristine, last year’s Eco Cops are returning to the fore. These custodians of cleanliness will again hand out ‘Bin Ya Butts’ containers and direct patrons to waste and recycling bin systems. In more frivolous news, Splendour will host an arts programme centered around The Tent of Miracles, where Andy Forbes and his crew will present The Church of Two Hands and a Chicken. Those keen to escape the madding crowds can retreat to the Global Village, a whole new green pasture promising performance and workshop stages, food and market stalls and even a cinema.
