The drug van is ready to roll and the roadside drug testing laws have been passed, which means that if you’re planning on indulging in some illicit shenanigans in NSW from now on you’d be wise to take a cab home. Not only is it safer for you and everyone else on the road, but you could be randomly pulled over and tested for marijuana, methamphetamine and MDMA. Penalties include a $1,100 fine and possible licence disqualification, which is a lot worse than a simple cab fare.
