Portable Film Festival launches in Sydney

Conceived in Melbourne and launching worldwide on Wednesday 13 September, the Portable Film Festival features a programme designed especially for viewing on iPod Videos, Sony Playstation Portables and mobile phones. The concept is an acknowledgement of the boom in online viewing and portable media players. 70 pre-selected films from 13 countries will be available to watch at portablefilmfestival.com, with functions for downloading, viewing and socialising. To celebrate all this 21st Century whiz-bangery, there’ll be a good ol’ fashioned party at Vegas Bar this Friday 15 September from 8pm, with the Ro Sham Bo DJs (Sleater Brockman and Spruce Lee) spinning.
