Nathan Fake, the young wunderkind from Norfolk, England, has created a masterful debut album for James Holden's heavyweight label Border Community. 'Drowning in a Sea of Love' is a truly enchanting collection of rocktronica at its finest - loaded with casio riffs, soaring fake-guitar lead lines, single live take recordings and a heap of lighters-in-the-air moments. This is a ballsy, gutsy eleven track wall of spacey & atmospheric computer-noise, underlined by a rock-solid production ethic which belies Fake's tender years.

In a relatively short time, Nathan's profile has rocketed, sending him into notoriety and launching him up as one of the most sought after producers in the industry today. Fake is a breath of fresh air and one of the few bright lights in the UK production scene, with German labels and producers having stolen much of the limelight in 2005. It is little wonder that he is one of so many people's 'Tips for 2006':

Nathan has been cultivating his sounds for the last few years with strong vinyl only releases like 'Outhouse', 'Coheed' and 'The Sky Is Pink', with the latter being a highlight of this album.
'The Sky was Pink' has continued to be one of the highest selling releases on the Border Community label since its initial vinyl release in 2004, with multiple worldwide licences. The album contains the original live take of the psychedelic epic .(prior to its remix transformation into the electro anthem of last summer).

'Drowning In A Sea Of Love' is an emotional and thoughtful album that never falls to far from any style, but never falls in just one. At times reminiscent of Boards of Canada & Aphex Twin , this album will appeal to music lovers from all the electronic genres. Nathan's music has previously garnered support from a wide cross section of premier league DJ's the world over, and this album is no exception.

Nathan Fake has pulled out all the stops for 'Drowning In A Sea Of Love', working endlessly on every part to come up with something different and challenging, full of life and full of style, that can't be categorized into one genre, and it sounds like the hard work has paid off.
Listen & Learn….. A truly mindblowing album!!
