This week brings the launch of a new night at Honkytonks - Hear Now - and hear it clear: Andee Frost will be joined by newcomer DJ Jo Hateley. 'Hear Now' Wednesdays at Honkytonks showcasing the finest in Melbourne's future DJ heroes, neu DJs, neu music, neu attitude every Wednesday night from 9pm. With a name taken from the misinterpretation of a strange dream about a blind cow that somehow ended up with Bowie and the guys from Optimo pogoing to Talking Heads! Exactly what's behind the enigmatic Fake Howl is almost a mystery, but not quite - just a guy mooted around infectious odd pop and disco. With two feet on the dance floor and looking for the new wave, anything might be possible!

Open Sesame - Kano & Ennio Styles and guest Papa Stylee
It'll be Styles upon Stylee with Papa Stylee returning to the Open Sesame decks alongside Ennio Styles & Kano. Papa Stylee's crates run deep with outernational dub, ragga, dancehall, bashment and bass pum sounds, and his last visit to Open Sesame was a heavy session indeed.

Proving that you can't always get what you want, but if you close your eyes and get mixed up - you'll get what you need. Wonky disco all night long! Bang Gang - our much loved, much munted, guests of mayhem are now going to be playing once a month on FRIDAYS at Honkytonks. So note your next Bang Gang at Honkytonks date for Friday 21st July! Rave juice, psychedelic journeys, DJs in the toilets, the walk of shame, cuntcore and so much more. Aram Chapers joins Jaimie Doom, Gus Da Hoodrat and DJ Damage. Floor boards squeak and out come the freaks. This Sunday night Dirty Talk presents a rare disco set from one of Melbourne's most loved DJs - Ransom. With a record collection that would have most people sweating his disco balls, get ready for a night that is guaranteed to put both the OH's back into wonky disco, and the YOU's in underage house. DJ support from Dirty Talk residents Jason Martin, Peter Finger and Askew. Get your snag on with the midnight rave BBQ, lubricate yourself with $5 Tiger beers and $5 Agwa and Jager shots - and then get loose and late on the dancefloor. BYO cowbell, tambourine and amyl.
