Hideyo Blackmoon is known as the 'little shaman' of the party scene, and one of the most sought after ambient artists on the electronic music festival calendar. If she is not on the dance floor, you will be able to find her behind a mixer or a microphone.

Well known for her chill / ambient and futuristic space sets throughout the world. Hideyo's musical ability dose not stop as a DJ however...as she explores her vocalist talents and incorporates them with her deep style sounds, and creates the atmosphere by becoming one with her environment, blending together outdoor elements, nature, bush, and most certainly, the crowd.

In 1999, Hideyo was responsible for bringing the ambient element to Japan, and created a new type of club, "Bullets", that was committed to the art of ambient sounds that played a significant part in the Tokyo's underground music scene

She frequents most of major trance parties on the calendar including: Return to the Source, Earth day, Autumnal Equinox Festival, Solstice Music Festival, Harukaze, Anoyo etc. and internationally at Moontribe, Burning Man and of course Australia's most popular outdoor electronic music festival. The Rainbow Serpent.

For this years festival we have the privilege of experiencing two DJ sets of different natures. In the market area Hideyo will be serving up a selection of deep, trancey and jam rock sounds. While in the chill area, downbeat, crossover and ambient genres will be explored.

It has been 6 years since the chill out specialist has graced the decks at the Rainbow Serpent. So here we find out where she has been, going to and what we have in store for the party of the year.
