Room680 is pleased to announce the return of one of Melbourne's favourite international DJ's, Hernan Cattaneo, on Friday June 16th, 2006.

Hot on the heels of his latest (and arguably his greatest) Renaissance compilation release, 'Sequential', Hernan will rock the legendary Room680 Main Room floor with an exclusive 3.5 hour set that is guaranteed to be a highlight of the 2006 clubbing calendar year, and to keep even the most discerning forums and tongues wagging favorably for months to come.

Over two enormous discs, 'Sequential' takes listeners on a rare and exciting journey deep into Hernan's up-to-the-minute DJ bag and CD wallet, and signifies yet another stunning release in Renaissance's already glittering catalogue.

For those of you who may have been stuck under a rock or the like, over the last 12 years Renaissance has established an enviable international reputation for golden club nights, rosters dripping with international superstar DJ's, and of course: agenda-setting sounds and that music!

All in all, Renaissance and its illustrious club nights are synonymous with high glamour and excitement the world over. Indeed, in 2006 the brand is still famous for transforming ordinary clubs into decadent palaces of dance culture opulence and 100% pleasure. This infamous dance icon has systematically and successfully expanded into international tours, one-off spectaculars, live events, and a series of high-quality compilations that have sold millions worldwide - including most recently Satoshi Tomiie's '3D' and Dave Seaman's 'Master Series Volume 7'.

Carrying on this proud tradition, 'Sequential' is a release that will be instrumental in setting dance music agendas of industry players and hands-in-the-air punters alike for the rest of 2006 - just like the iconic Hernan Cattaneo, himself. Featuring 25 of his current favourite progressive, deep house and tribal bombs (including those from the likes of Bushwacka, Way out West, and Trafik), and sexily packaged with Renaissance's notoriously sublime cover art and unmistakable class … it's already achieved 'must-have' status for self-respecting dance music fans far and wide.

But, while listening to Sequential might be fun, when compared to the chance of seeing Hernan tear up the floor live in the flesh, naturally there's no competition! Thankfully, the wait is over for another year … and on Friday, June 16th, Melbourne will once again get this truly thrilling and memorable opportunity as Hernan and Renaissance team up with Room680 to give Melbourne the ultimate BIG night out.

Consistently ranked as a certified worldwide dancefloor favourite, and recently voted in the illustrious Top Ten echelon of DJ Mag's Top 100 poll (yet again), Hernan is not only South America's biggest and most successful dance music export, he's also one of the planet's. From playing to multiple 60,000+ Creamfields crowds and headlining at Global Gathering, to nailing residencies at Cream (in South America, Liverpool and Ibiza, no less) and mixing successive prestigious Renaissance compilations - there is little that Hernan has not achieved over the last decade.

Initially finding success within his local clubbing landscape in Buenos Aires as a resident at the city's biggest club, 'Clubland', back in the mid-1990's, it wasn't long before Hernan's unique blend of eclectic deep house, progressive, and tribal sounds saw him catching both the ears and attention of the touring international DJ's he supported - including the likes of Digweed, Sasha, Tenaglia, and last but not least, Oakenfold. Indeed, Paul Oakenfold was so impressed with Cattaneo's sublime talents when he played alongside him in 1996 that he invited him to tour Europe with him almost immediately.

The rest, as they say, is definitely 'history', for the last nine years have seen Hernan quickly and firmly establish himself as one of the world's most r
