Musical purism and close-minded genre wars have run their course - the next generation in music compilations has arrived!

Forget everything you know or have presumed about mix compilations, this one is different. As a concept, Generationext was born in Cairns - a city dominated by transient travellers and fun-loving party personalities. Attend one of the crew's parties and you'll find everything from breaks, to house, electro, techno, trance and hard dance - all in one night and all under one roof! The parties so successful tthat he crew decided to take it to the next level, and so the Generationext CD series was born.

CD 1 is mixed by UK house act Studio B, presenting the funked-up party starter that grooves its way through everything from jackin' electro/tech house to butt-wiggling breakbeat.

CD 2 is mixed by globetrotting hard dance whiz's Dr Willis and Scott Alert. Their mix for the release accelerates things up to focus on the driving force of escalating sounds within tech house, progressive, techno and trance. This is true progressive dance minus all of the old rules - always moving and changing, from 130 to 140bpm, the tension building with every beat!
