FIRE TAKES OUT HQ BUT FUTURE IS BRIGHT

Fire at Future Entertainment's Glenhuntly Rd, Elsternwick premises has completely burned to the ground the leading promoter's Headquarters. The building housing there administrative offices, studio & props has been raisen after fire swept through the premises on Thursday morning.

Several callers to the MFB reported the fire at around 4.30am Thursday morning. 36 firefighters took almost an hour to bring the blaze under control. Commander Michael Coombes of the Metroplotian Fire Brigade described the scene as a mess "We don't know what's what at this stage, the 1st floor has colapsed and is now sitting on the ground". He said it was most likely an electrical fault had caused the fire.

Mark James of Future Entertainment said the fire would have no repercussions for upcoming events, "we've got another office across the road". Fortunately, he indicated the hard drive on which the studio's new music is stored has been pulled from the wreckage, and all data should be recoverable.
