Dimitri who is famed for his infinite knowledge of classic and contemporary records has put together a 2cd mix (plus bonus unmixed cd) of sublime disco, rare groove, retro funk that really exhibits his passions and eclectic tastes . Features tracks from Grace Jones, Black Box, Bob Sinclar, Cerrone, Incognito, The Originals & more.
Almost every track has been re-edited by Dimitri adding extra appeal and an air of exclusivity to this compilation Features exclusive remix of Ron Hall and the Muthafunkaz The Way You Love which he has enlisted his idol Vince Montana (Philadelphia International/ Salsoul Records) to assist with the string arrangement. This track will not see the light of day until way after the release of this compilation & ranks as Dimitri s favorite track of the decade!
Deep in the mix you will find another real rare gem, an exclusive remix of "Down to love town" by The Originals which has been a mainstay in Dimitri s sets since he re-edited it for his first Playboy compilation. There is also an exclusive re-edit of the rare Elaine and Eileen track The look of love (Burt Bacharach). Other highlights include Blackbox most excellent cover of the Earth Wind and Fire classic Fantasy ,the infectious Cerrone Hooked on you , Grace Jones French sung La Vie En Rose , Double D s original house cut Found Love plus India s sublime To Be In Love performed with a full orchestra.
