Dig In, Not Out is an innovative event presented by MPI and Boomalli that’s set to take over the warehouse gallery space of Boomalli Artists Co-op (55-59 Flood St, Leichhardt) on Saturday 8 April. Money raised from the party goes towards continued grassroots work in helping primarily indigenous communities across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region deal with the social and environmental impacts of destructive mining activity. The eclectic bill includes Deepchild, Blaze, Jack Prest, Wire MC, hostess with the mostess Edwina Blush, Zombie Ghost Train, Theatre of Disco, Mutgash Poison, Muruwari Madness and more. Bands kick off at 8pm, followed by DJs till near dawn. To read up on the event, go to mpi.org.au .
