With a new take on how to listen to music, a new artist compilation series, "My Definition", is to be released on Apace thru Inertia. The series is designed to give you a window into the listening habits of 'iconic artists and producers' by allowing them a forum to mix select tracks that have defined their outlook on music, both past and present. Nightmares On Wax present the 1st installment of "My Definition".

Nightmares on Wax, aka George Evelyn, is someone who doesn't need to prove his funk credentials. His 1995 album 'Smoker's Delight' was one of the key records of the mid 90s. Lauded as one of the best records of the 90's (and many say since), it melded and mellowed funk, soul and hip hop into a new downtempo template that became a home listening staple and a massive seller still holding it's own today.

Nightmares on Wax has carried this sound over three more popular albums: 'Car Boot Soul', 'Mind Elevation' and this year's huge 'In A Space Outta Sound' - not to mention the awesome DJ Kicks volume. His music has been about soul drenched beats and true skool hip hop - a sound that will remain timeless.

Nightmares On Wax now channels all of his influences, right from the start of his love affair with music along with that which has moved him over the last few years, into 'My Definition'. From the smooth rare groove and funk of Paris, The Equals & The Crusaders to the sample based mid to late 90s hip hop of Das EFX & Camp Lo to the current crop of UK producers that have taken hip hop and funk and turned it into a uniquely British sound - acts like Black Grass, JD73 & The Nextmen. And there's so much more on this very addictive mix CD!

'My Definition' is backed with extensive sleeve notes track by track written by George Evelyn. This is an album that will appeal to fans of music and Nightmares On Wax equally.

My Definition mixed by Nightmares on Wax is out now on Apace through Inertia.
