Dave Grohl to drink with miners

The Foo Fighters Dave Grohl has announced that he’s taking time out from playing drums with half the bands in North America to make good on his pledge to drink a beer with the Beaconsfield miners Todd Russell and Brant Webb. Grohl rang triple j’s Jay and the Doctor to announce that he’ll be stopping in Australia for two acoustic shows at the Opera House on October 3 and 4, along with a “big night” of boozing with the mining disaster survivors.
